Welcome

Welcome to our fantastic school and thank you for taking the time to look at our website, which I hope will give you a flavour of what we are about.

At Montgomery we strive to provide the best possible opportunities and outcomes for the children in our community. Our hard working and dedicated staff work together to achieve excellence in teaching and learning. Our staff make it their job to meet the needs of all our children as best they can by getting to know our children and their families as individuals.

At Montgomery we believe in "Taking Care of the Future." Our curriculum has a strand of sustainability woven throughout. We have a rich and balanced knowledge based curriculum that is enriched with inspiring visitors, trips and experiences.

We are driven by ensuring that children of all backgrounds maximise their potential to the very fullest whatever their talent.  We promote a love of reading and this forms a key part of our school life whatever the age or stage in the school. We encourage all of our children to challenge themselves to work collaboratively and independently to do their best at all times. We promote our children taking responsibility to deepen their knowledge and develop their skills using their strengths and interests.

As well as academic success and good progress, we want our children to be happy, safe and enjoy coming to school. We want them to develop into well rounded individuals who can succeed and make a positive difference. We truly believe our 'Monty Values' of passion, determination, honesty, respect, teamwork and self belief ensure our children develop the skills and characteristics to do this.

Our staff have a range of experience and come together to form a hardworking and dedicated team focused on ensuring that children have the very best start in their education. The school is lucky to be based in a zero-carbon, Passivhaus building built in 2010 and to have extensive and beautiful grounds. The design of the building ensures we have large classrooms with wide corridors which provide fantastic breakout spaces for small groups and one-to-one work as well as substantial grounds with a field, tennis court, playground and adventure trail.

I am immensely proud of our school and would welcome you to come in and see our amazing school and get a real sense of the nurturing and inclusive environment our children thrive and grow within.

Please do not hesitate to contact me through the school office.
